I had to do a complete install and don't have my old outlook express program.
I'm not happy with the Windows Mail. Is there any way to get OE back? I still have my XP install disc. |

unfortunately it replaces OE and there is no going back so long as you use Vista. "Judy" wrote in message ... I had to do a complete install and don't have my old outlook express program. I'm not happy with the Windows Mail. Is there any way to get OE back? I still have my XP install disc. |

my main issue is in the signature section. I like to format the text in my
signature and insert images. In OE you have those options but in WM there plain old text only. I can't even find where to format it to center it. I resolved a couple of the problems I was having but the signature issue is a PITA. The signature is an HTML file and is set up as a signature in Windows Mail. The .gif shows up ok on my machine but I imagine that's because it's reading it direct from the HDD. Don't know why the .gif is showing as a red X when read on another machine. Maybe this is the problem that Judy is referring to.
"mikeyhsd" wrote in message ... use a HTML editing program, create a FILE for your signature and point to the file in setting up signature. I use FrontPageExpress personally.
