HDD Formating
Hi,
My HDD was formated for ~ 200 times in 4-5 months. Can happen with it something bad? How many times a hdd can be formated? How can I verify in vista if i have bad sectors or not? Thanks. ps: sorry for my bad english |

HDD Formating
Download and run the disk manufacturer's test utility. These are usually a
bootable CD image and/or a floppy based version. You should also test your memory, first with Vista's utility, but memtest http://www.memtest.org/ will do a more exacting test. There is no limit in principle to how often a disk can be formatted. In this case I think you have a hardware problem, which is most likely to be disk or system memory related.
