Ah, a staple of the Windows 9.X operating system the Blue Screen of death. I
remember my Windows 95 machine "blue screened" all the time, and actually the demo PCat COMDEX on April 20,1998 "blue screened", and Bill Gates said, "That must be why we're not shipping Windows 98 yet." Will Vista blue screen? The only time XP blue screened was when a major virus, wrecked my computer. |

Use bad drivers or really bad 3rd party apps, and yes, Vista (like any other
version of Windows) will blue screen. I've found Vista, even in RC1 form, to be just as stable as XP ever was. I don't foresee many issues rolling forward, and the RC's and interim builds are only getting better. Bill F. "genedefcon2000" wrote in message ... Then you'll like Vista even more I think. Vista really has brought Windows
to a whole new level. Bill F. "genedefcon2000" wrote in message ... Well that's a good thing. I always liked the stability of Windows XP. |

The only BSOD's I've seen in Vista, out of 4 PC's on which it's been
installed, were during setup in builds 5536 and 5600 on my Dell XPS Gen 2 desktop and were related to SATA controller drivers. Fixed in 5728. All in all, I'm very impressed with Vista. Intend to move my production PC to it as soon as I get my hands on the proverbial "gold code." Lang "genedefcon2000" wrote in message ...
