Default VISTA+XP Dual Booting

I just installed this cheap mobo biostar 7F570 SLI ready as a simple
build up, one 500Gb Harddrive wich i created two partions as i have
the same on the other computer, as I install vista first everything
works smoothly then install xp, plus the easybcd to create my boot
order. not a problem on my old computer now on this new one that i
just built either OS will install properly, now that i split the drive
into 2 250Gb partitions Vista installed first boots up fine after
installation completed, now i am ready to install XP on partiotion 2
thats where the problem is, on the first restart of the installtion
before it starts installing all the feature during the POST i get the
message
Disk Read Error, Press ctrl+alt+del to restart, and i have already
done everything or completed the exact same steps as i did on my other
computer and never got this problem, used easyBCD to create the boot
order asssign the partition 1 as drive C and Partition as drive D,
saved the boot order and rebooted then i was able to choose wich os to
boot to, Not now with this newly built system. cant do it, havent got
passed the part where it tells disk read error and to restart, if this
is going to be an issue wonder if it will be even more of a pain to
try to dual boot using to harddrives, my only itentions was to keep
vista dead on one partition and only access it to update it, then
switch back to XP, untill microsoft comes out wich the service pack to
fix the bugs or most of them
