We have seen many cases like this one. thank you for sharing your experience
with us. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "exbbjock" wrote in message ... After spending hours trying to solve this same issue with my D-Link DIR-615, I found that by accessing my Wireless Router via Explorer (192.168.0.1) and changing the encryption from WEP to WPA and entering a password, I could now get all my Vista laptops connected wirelessly. Hope this helps. -- exbbjock ------------------------------------------------------------------------ exbbjock's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/exbbjock.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...ork/897502.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

As frustrating as this problem is, you don't necessarily have to change your
security to WPA in order to get around it. If you add your network manually in the manage wireless networks window, making sure to use the exact name of your network and WEP key (both case sensitive) the request for additional log on information goes away. ****happens_016;4128532 Wrote: This is for WEP:- This is should solve the problem. 1) Goto Network and sharing center 2) Goto Manage wireless networks 3) Remove the entry of the network you are trying to connect to 4) Then click on add. 5) Then select MANUALLY CONFIGURE NETWORK 6) Enter the information:- SSID-Network name, Select the security(WEP) and enter the key. If this doesnt solve the problem, post the error message. sorry to bump an old topic but i just wanted to thank this user. nothing else worked but this solved the problem right away for anyone having the same problem. -- Reala728 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reala728's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/102970.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...ork/897502.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
