For Java to work, our vendor recommends disabling "Chimney", which does fix
web/iis issues related to Java, but it also causes file sharing and RDP to work very slowly, making it unusable. Below is the command I entered on the W2K3R2 web server for Java to work: Netsh int ip set chimney DISABLED I have updated Broadcom network drivers on both the client and server and that didn't resolve the problem. I don't think it's related to Broadcom, but rather Windows VISTA. The odd thing is that XP works fine and file sharing and RDP are not affected, but VISTA machines are problematic. I don't understand. Please help resolve. Thanks. |

It looks after I installed the latest drivers from Broadcom and rebooted,
things started working normally.
