You might try turning off QOS on the router.. this may be interfering with
your bandwidth downloads.. easy to test...

I wonder if the switchports of the router are only 10 Mb ports? You might
try statically setting the speed on the NIC's properties (Device Manager) to
100 Full Duplex..

Again, I have never setup a Zyxel, so I am grasping at straws here..

Wish I were there to take a look around at that router, but if I was, I would
probably at this point try substituting another brand Router (Linksys is what
I usually use for Consumer Grade installations)... So, if you have a friend
that has one that you could borrow, perhaps?

Very good, Nigel.. I certainly hope they can work it out for you, as I could
not...

If they do have a solution, please come back in and post it, as I would be

Hi Ray.....I fixed it myself this morning after reading trouble shooting
guide...It says reset router with pin at back of it....so I tried that...???
and guess what ?....

It works at almost full speed through router on my pc..not tried kids yet as
they need pci usb2 ports to make usb to Ethernet adaptor work at
100mbps...my reading this morning(PEAK TIME)..is 18348.6mbps..so happy I
fixed it...I have not got bandwidth monitoring switched on..I think that may
of slowed things down?
Thanks for your assistance hope this helps you or other people...

That is good news, Nigel.. Sometimes, once you have played with the settings
for a while, the best is always to reload the defaults and start fresh..
Just like any computer, it loves a fresh OS.

Take care.
