Default Sudden Loss of Sound

Hi,
I'm new and at my wits end with vista problems on both the 32 and 64
vista HP notebooks.
I suddenly have no sound on th e64 bit vista Home Premium. I always
listened to internet radio. Two days ago I made a video & when I tried
to play it no sound. d/l Media Player but no sound there. Checked
drivers: there are three a Bluetooth and Convexant etc. No yellow! No
disabled buttons anyplace, no mute on, levels all hi etc.
I'm at a loss as to what I should do. I got a notice that I was about
to go out of warranty on this machine and colsed the screen so don't
know if I have time left or not; would thikn HP would let me know via
email or snail mail...Can anyone help and if so baby steps please! G
Or should I email HP?
Thanks in advance for any support. Cher (BIRDWISE)
