First, I prefer the simplicity of Mail over Outlook, as well as the layout.
However, since it is the successor to OE, I guess I need some assurance Mail is more secure. Is Mail an improvement over OE, or should I bite the bullet and install Outlook? Thanks. Ed |

What do you mean by secure? You mean from viruses and stuff? Its got the
same basic protections as OE in that regard, which are very good and tried and tested. People don't get infected via OE, they get infected by opening attachments. The message store is new in WinMail and that is a very big plus. There are also other features that are enhancements over OE. steve "Ed Sutherland" wrote in message ... Ed I have been using Outlook Express since before it was released and have never gotten a virus or other malware. And I usually run at lower security than the default. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup. Don't send mail. |

Yup. That's why Vista is such a pain in many respects.
