have a home network. Vista 32 ultimate and just installed vista 64 on a new
machine. I have never transferred files between the computers much before but have needed to transfer about 500gb to the new computer (vista 32 - vista 64). However the transfer rate is under 10MB/sec which is actually pretty bloody slow. It seems to be limited to 10 MB/sec. The network goes through a router and is all cat5. The router is billion bipac 7404VGP The network adapters are on the motherboards - both gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P. I have Unchecked "Remote Differential Compression" on both computer. Any idea why so slow? |
