Default RPC Server is unavailable

I've suddenly encountered network sharing problems I can't seem to get
past. I get an error when
trying to share files: The RPC Server is Unavailable. I've done the normal
google and MS KB search and nothing I've found works. I can't think what
I've done lately that would have an effect on this. I've even shut down the
firewall which has done no good. This is something that happened only
recently
If anyone has any ideas, I'm willing to try it.
Thanks

Paul

Can you ping the remote computer by IP? If yes, can you ping it by name? Or
this troubleshooting may help.

Yes, I can ping by both IP and by name which I had tried first and found
very odd.
Thanks for the link. I'll see if it helps me any.
