Default cd/dvd not working

I have used my CD/DVD player has been used before but for some reason is no
longer working. When I look into the issue this is what it says "Windows
cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted
or missing. (Code 39)".... i have no clue what to do or how to fix this. it
does not give me the option to to roll back driver. Is there anyone that can
help?
