How to tag files?
For Images (at least as I've seen)
You can go to "Windows Explorer": File -- Properties -- Details and edit the Tags field. -OR- Open the image in "Photo Gallery Viewer" Option 1: Right Click on the image, and select "Add Tags..." in the shortcut menus Option 2: Click on the "Info" Toolbar Item. A right hand panel shows up with "Information" on the image and there is a "Add Tags" button you can click. ciao, Sam T. How to tag files?
The same basic idea works for non-picture files (but not in Photo Gallery).
Select an icon (or a bunch), right-click and choose Properties, then click the Details tab. If the file has a Tags property, you'll see it. But all the properties you see are searchable. So you can stick a word in any editable property and it'll still show up in a search. You can also edit properties and tags through the Details pane. In any folder, select an icon. Its properties and tags show up in the Details pane. If the Details pane is too short to show them all, drag its upper border upward. If the Details pane isn't there at all, click the Organize button and choose Layout Details pane. With files that contain text it's not necessary to repeat a word that's already in the file in a tag. An indexed search will fnd the file anyway, tag or no tag. Likewise for other properties like Authors, Title, Subject, Comments, Genre, Artists, and such. Any word you stick in one of those properties you needn't repeat in a tag because the file will show up in a search anyway. "Samiuela LV Taufa" wrote in message ...
