Default windows media player 11 takin up 100% mem always

I have recently updated to windows media player 11 and had to uninstall it
twice since because it always takes up 100% memory when in use and turns
itself off when browsing through the video library.
I have read a few things about it and is it because MICROSOFT is sending
secret information from our computers to somewhere or is it just
rubbish!!!!????
Am i the only one who has had this problem becausse there is nothing on
MICROSOFT's website.
PLS PLS HELP as i quite like media player over realplayer but at the mo im
stuck with that and nero!!

Considering this is the Vista forum not XP, I doubt anyone is having your
problems.

Actually, I am in Vista RC1 and am having a similar problem. WMP is slow,
laggy, and takes up all my resources. It sucks quite frankly, cuz I have
always loved WMP in the past. If any MVP's out there in MS world have heard
of this kind of problem, please let me know...

My Specs
Dell Inspiron 8600
Intel 1.5 GHZ M
768MB + another 512 Readyboost
40GB HD + Seagate 160GB External

On RC1, just adding album art to a single album (via drag&drop) ties my
computer up for as long as 2 minutes. (2GB, 2.0GHz)
