Default Asus AX1650Pro + ASRock k7s8x = video card and vista not working

Hello,
I have an AsRock K7S8X mainboard with an Athlon XP 2000+ CPU, I have
upgraded my videocard form an Ati 9550 to an asus branded ati
x1650Pro. If I install the AGP driver from windows update and the ati
driver, then vista refuses to boot. If I don't install the AGP driver,
vista will boot, but the video card will not work. I have used the
driver given with the card, because on XP only that worked, driver
form ati's website broke my xp install.

Since it's an "asus branded ati x1650Pro", get the correct driver from Asus.

Nothing you can do.It is not a graphic card,it is horror. In every other amd
or intel platform works only with its own driver under win XP only.ASUS help
center tried to resolve problem, but it does not work,I am shure that is night
mare for them.It does not work even with omega driver, crashes platforms based
on via chipsets, crashes all lcd monitor aplications supported by
samsung, needs very strong power supply min. 550 watts,it is very good to give
it like a present to your annemy.Old one 9600 pro with new drivers works
better,if the game does not need shader 3
