Default Play DVD---Have video but no sound. And quality is bad

Windows Vista --- Media Player do not need install any decoder.(It is a good
function)

But I cannot hear any sound. (** I have adjust all sound bar.**)
Other program can play sound normally.

Is the decoder problem?
-----------------
The qualily is worse than Windows XP Media Player 9 when I play DVD.
(My sound card and display card driver have been installed and run normally.)

Not sure which of your 4 posts to answer. I have found that I had to turn
up Wave sound in my audio settings otherwise WMP was almost silent. That
setting will, of course, depend on your audio card.

If you are running on an Intel Pentium 3 or AMD K7 processor, you could be
hitting a (now known) bug in audio decoder. This known bug produces silence
rather than low volume.
