Default Microsoft Sidewinder USB Gamepad?

Is there any way to get this device to work with Vista. I can't find Vista
drivers for it at Microsoft's web site.
If not is there any programmable gamepad other than the sidewinder anyone
would recommend that works with Vista. I need one that can be set up to
emulate keyboard keys for various games. This is the second gamepad I've
purchased and neither of them works. The Logitech I purchased said on the
packaging it was Vista compatible, however it doesn't work either.
Thanks

I use the Saitek 2600 rumbleforce. It works great. All Saitek gamepads
work well with vista and it recognizes them automatically.

The person you replied to hasn't been around in five months.

Look at the date of the post you reply to before reaching for your
keyboard.
