I realize this question has been asked in many different ways, but I still
don't see an answer that works. When viewing your files/folders in any program or in Windows XP or Vista. When you select a view from the View Menu (like List), it is only temporary, it always reverts back. How do you change the DEFAULT view choice to always display your files/folders as you want to see them? |

Hi Teacher, Method Two here will show you how to reset the folder view settings so Vista will remember your changes. The key is in steps 27 to 31 when you make changes on how you want Vista to remember or apply them. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70...-settings.html Shawn -- Brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* '*Vista Forums*' (http://www.vistax64.com/index.php?referrerid=2980) *Please post feedback to help others.* |

Hi, In Vista and XP it's the same just looks different. It's all in folder
options. In Vista or XP select the Pictures folder, select the way you want to view that folder, ie small or large icons, then in the folder options select view and apply to folders button.
