A co-worker accidentally saved a file she downloaded from an email to
“somewhere” in the temporary internet folder instead of her computer. We found the file by doing a search. After finding the file, we noted the file map path given in the file name window: C: Documents and Settings Cheryl (the coworker) Local Settings Temporary Internet Folder OLK7B4 What baffles us is that once we open the TIF folder, there is no OLK7B4 folder showing. We have “show hidden files” and “system files” selected, but we cannot see any file folders in the TIF folder. Where is that bloody OLK7B4 folder?! -- William |

When you find the file with Search, just right-click on it and select "Open
File Location"... But, since "Documents & Settings" is not a real folder in Vista, it's probably in the virtualstore. When you "go" to that TIF location, do you then see a "Compatibility Files" button on the toolbar? If so, click on it, and it will take you to where the file is. It's probably somewhere in C:\Users\Cheryl\AppData\Local\VirtualStore -- http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "William" wrote in message ... Thanks much. I'll try when I get to work on Monday.
