With WMP 10, i was able to have a handful of files in the "Now Playing" list
and edit them AS ONE ie: 5 tracks that had no Album info could be done in one hit byt selecting them all and right clicking, choosing "Advanced Tag Editor" and then just edit the Album Field and ALL would be populated with the Album name and would then no longer show up under the "Unknown" list. However, ,with WMP11, I can only seem to do this with eash file on its own. I have over 13000 WMA files of which 435 are still to be edited. I cant do one at a time. Does anyone know a way to do this without using 3rd party utils? |

To add to this, I upgraded to WMP11 on my XP Box. Thought i'd try and put
more effort into learning about WMP11. Instead, it has split some of my albums into 2 or 3 now as it has, for some reason, changed the Album Artist. I've had to downgrade to WMP10 again to fix the issue (Using the Drag and drop capability and the "Edit more than one file capability). What is MS Playing at? Cant they leave stuff alone that works fine for its purpose??? I was looking forward to Vista and WMP11 and Media Centre...........No longer....... I'm dreading being fiorced to upgrade when they stop everything else working with previous versions - No doubt this is the next step after SP1 or 2 of Vista comes out. The ATE in v11 still seems to allow bulk-editing of tracks, BUT
1) it doesn't allow per-track changes in a bulk-selection to be edited as in v9-10 2) ATE edits sometimes revert to previous values, a problem that manifested in v10 "Joner39" wrote in message ...
