Printing with Vista seems to be an absolute PITA. Printing is done over the network to printers attached to XP machines, there are 2 lasers and an inkjet. We also use a virtual postscript printer for writing EPS files. In all cases, programs like CorelDraw and Adobe reader will lock up for a minute or two with a non responsive message befor they print. Printing usualy takes 3-4 minutes with any driver. Latest Vista drivers are resident on the Vista machine and certain files updated on the host computers. Also, if I have other programs open with their windows open behind the current active window, when I print it will randomly switch to another window. It does this everytime with any program and any printer. Very strange. Steve W (in Aus) |
