Whenever I search in my documents director C:/Users/username I get the
message "... slow in non indexed locations". This happens no matter how many times I try to add the directory. I checked the indexing and the directory is not in the "excluded" list. It does seem not to be indexed because only search terms in the file names show up. I did a "dir /AI" and "JUNCTION Documents and settings [C:\Users]" showed up but my guess is that is normal to avoid indexing through the real directory and the junction. In explorer the "Users" directory does not have the attribute "N" (But "Documents and Settings" doesn't show up at all). I tried clearing the "Index this folder for faster searching" for C:\Users and then setting it again and applying it to all subdirectories, but no luck. I tried rebuilding the index, but also no luck. It ended up indexing the same number of files. |
