Computer information:
Gateway GM5461 E Intel Viiv Technology, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300, 1.86 GHz, 2GB RAM, 400GB Harddrive 16X DVD +/-RW Drive Windows Vista Home Premium Memory Speed: PC2-4200 (533 MHz), Type: DDR2-SDRAM NVIDIA GeForce 7500GS 256 Installed Video Memory I have recently started using this computer we purchased a year ago (long story....) and I uploaded about 4000 photos to the admins photo folder. We have 4 users registered to this computer with separate log ins. Two Admins and two read only to that folder. I set up the screen saver for the slide show for all users from the shared folder. Its set on Collage, rotating images. The problem I am having is whenever it first starts showing the slideshow, it flickers really bad for anywhere from 1 minute to an hour...it eventually clears from the flicker, but its very consistent on the start up of the slide show, and is EXTREMELY annoying...makes is impossible to watch the photo rotation at all. Does this mean my video card isnt capable of running the slide show screensaver? Or is there some setting somewhere Im missing that will help clear this? Or is it my monitor? Im not sure where to continue to look to trouble shoot this. Ive exhausted everything I could think of. My monitor is set at 1024x768. Its an HP 19" w1907 Widescreen LCD Monitor 19" Widescreen Brightview Display, 1440 x 900 Resolution, 5ms Response Time, 1000:1 Contrast Ratio, 16:9 Aspect Ratio, |
