Wireless problems
There have been many wireless problems posted, many are unique. Here is my
experience to add to the pile. I have a compaq notebook that I dual boot from XP to Vista 5536. In XP, wireless networking works fine at work and home. Home is WEP, work is open (I know, don't worry, it's DMZ'd) When I boot into Vista, I can easily do all networking at home, entered wep just fine and no problems. When I come to work, I can't connect with Vista 5536. Previous builds worked just fine, this will not. The router sucessfully assignes an IP address via DHCP and gives it subnet + DNS info. I can go into command prompt and do nslookup for yahoo. If I enter yahoo's IP address directly into IE, it will load yahoo.com, however most images don't load and none of the links will work. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I'd love to provide feedback via the tool, but without a conection.... well you know Thanks! Have tried all manner of unchecking security boxes, disabling firewall, enabling/disabling sharing. |
