Cannot open .paf file in Vista Home Premium
I have received two .paf files by e-mail. I wasn't able to open them, so downloaded the free PAF genealogy program, but still can't see how to open these files. Any sugggestions? -- Florence Jensen Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com

You need to go to the support website for the maker of that program. Are you double-clicking the PAF file? Instead, save the files that you
received by e-mail into a folder where you are going to keep all your genealogy records, then open the PAF program and use the File / Open menu option. Save the files to your hard drive. Right-click one of the files, select "Open With", then browse to the genealogy program you installed. Make sure the "always use the selected program..." box is checked, and click "OK". Once you do this, you should be able to open the .paf files by double-clicking them. -- Ray (remove the Xs to reply)
