Cannot see some folders in NAS when in Vista Beta 2
I have just contacted MAXTOR (who was bought by SEGATE??) and they said they
are aware of it, and are working on the issue. Did not get a warm fuzzy that they consider it an urgent issue??? The agent said "~I can't believe we would not have it fixed for the release of VISTA." -- Mike Shanahan "Jimmy Brush" wrote: Hello, This is actually caused by an incorrect behavior of Samba, and the NAS device by proxy. Windows Vista uses a feature that receives the list of files really quickly. The reason third-party apps may work is becuase they do not use this feature. Unfortunately, this is not something than can be fixed in a release of Vista, because the problem is not in Vista. - JB Vista Support FAQ http://www.jimmah.com/vista/ |
