Sometimes it'll hold good;other's;just drops. Having that problem since installed, my short term solution has been to run with no encryption;and use mac filtering;to keep out the occasional freelance wi-fier. But it's definitely a Vista issue;that has yet to be sufficiently addressed. Seems that it happens intermittently;but when I took off all encryption;the link is stable;and; as you pointed out;VERY fast. But MS definitely needs to address this encryption issue;because running wireless without it;is just asking for trouble. Jeff "carl.h" wrote in message ... Sorry about your day, I gathered something was up. Hope it get`s better tomorrow ! I do get a good connection when connected , blindingly fast too but Vista states it is limited. The dropping of the connection may be down to Vista`s security but seem`s strange ? Possibly Internet Explorer 7 dropping the connection if not active, I`ll have to check on that one in the help section. Anyway hope your week get`s better Cheers icon |
