I need to select certain photos by the date they were created. In XP it was
easy enough, I sorted by date and selected the appropriate date. How can I do the equivalent in Vista? |

In Windows Explorer search box type "type: jpg 2/16/2008". (without the
quotes) Substitute the date you want. "Bill Burton" wrote in message ... I need to select certain photos by the date they were created. In XP it was easy enough, I sorted by date and selected the appropriate date. How can I do the equivalent in Vista? |

Right-click on the column headings and enable the "date taken" field. Then you can click the date column header to sort, or click the dropdown arrow next to the header to filter. If your photos don't have embedded info on when they were taken, use the "date modified" field instead. I use the classic view, but I assume that the non-classic view would work the same way. -- Ray (remove the Xs to reply) |
