I have a 2gig sandisk micro cruzer that has worked fine in XP. I just got a
new Acer laptop and Vista does assign a drive letter to it so I cannot access it. It shows on the task bar as a USB storage device. In addition when I try stop it in the safely remove hardware it stops responding and will not it turn off. I tried the safe node today and the USB drive woks fine there. Thanks for any help. Brian |

Hi
The Cruzer is a U3 enabled when you plug it shows the U3 Launch Pad. If you do not use the U3 get rid of it. http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1415 Jack (MVP-Networking). Thanks for the reply. I removed everything from the cruzer on my XP machine
formated it and now Vista says it is an unrecognized USB device. "Brian" wrote in message ... I have a 2gig sandisk micro cruzer that has worked fine in XP.
