Hi
I am currently using an HP nx9010 laptop with an IEEE 1394 port on it. Under Windows XP this port showed as a network adapter to which you could assign an IP address and, with a suitable cable, connect it to the IEEE 1394 on another machine to create a nice fast 400Mbps direct network connection. Under Windows Vista, my 1394 connection is detected, but it does not appear under the Network Connections folder and I can find no way to configure it as a network connection. Does anyone know if this feature has been removed or if it must be specifically activated? I am using the RC-1 Build (5600) Brendan |
