Default Can't copy mdb, zip, or pdf files from XP to Vista

I'm really stuck on this one...

I have XP SP2 on my old laptop.

I have Vista Home Premium on my new laptop

From my new Vista laptop I'm trying to copy data files from my XP
laptop.

1. I see the XP laptop on my local workgroup just fine.

2. I can browse files on the XP laptop from my Vista laptop

3. When trying to copy whole folders from the XP laptop, it works just
fine unless...

4. There's an .mdb file, a .zip file or a .pdf file.

When the copy process encounters any of those files, I get the
following error box:

"Destination Folder Access Denied"

...and within the box the message is:

"You need permission to perform this action"

I'm logged in as an administrator on the both laptops.

Ideas?

Thanks for any perspectives,

Rick Gates

You may have two options. Disable UAC and copy to the public folder first.
This post may give more details.

You need permission to perform this action
