I guess the problem that I have been facing no other would have faced. I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop with Windows Vista Basic as OS. Everything was fine but then I started facing this problem once I started using voice chat on Yahoo! My system simply stopped detecting headset mic. Occasionally it would detect it. I used to uninstall the driver, then re-install the driver and then system would detect the mic. The moment I would do shutdown, it used to be back to square one. But then one fine day it completely stopped detecting it.No amount of installing the driver or anything helped. Even Dell Tech support gave up. Sound driver is SigmaTel
Exactly the same problem with Inspiron 1520 OS Vista Premium. I am wondering is this an OS problem or Yahoo problem, or some problem with Windows updates? If anyone has any clue, pls let me know. TIA Shilps |
