Default Wireless - being redirected

I'm having troubles connecting to networks that redirect you to an http web
page. For example I am able to connect to unsecure connections but as soon as
I have to be redirected to a page to log in the explorer the page won't even
come in.

any help with this would be appriciated.

Do you mean https? I have noticed that I have serious trouble getting pages
to load that are secure http. It's just incredibly slow.

This is on my main computer which is wired. I don't believe it's the link
because this occurs on both IE7 and FF beta 2. I've not taken the time to
dig into it too deeply at this point but if I find out more I'll holler.

I'm not exactly sure what type of initial web site it doesn't like being
forwarded to because it never actually came up.
