seems like the band at the top of the dialog box that pops up refers to
"SidebarBroadcas****cher: sidebar.exe - Application Error" "ICQM Houston" wrote: sometimes when i POWER OFF my pc the following error pops up: "The instruction at 0x768b882c referenced memory at 0xffffffff. Hi,
Try selectively disabling applications in the Windows Sidebar to see if the error ceases. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "ICQM Houston" wrote in message ... seems like the band at the top of the dialog box that pops up refers to "SidebarBroadcas****cher: sidebar.exe - Application Error" "ICQM Houston" wrote: sometimes when i POWER OFF my pc the following error pops up: "The instruction at 0x768b882c referenced memory at 0xffffffff. ty rick... i tried your suggestions and almost all the gadgets are thje culprit
- the WEATHER having the longest timeout. yet i need the WEATHER exe so i change the timeout settings in the registry file and it did worked excellente. HKEY_local_machine system CurrentControlSet control \ "WaitToKillServiceTimeout" --- by default this is set to 20000 (i beleived this is in ms). higher value will take the application / gadget to close longer. when changed to lower value, applications closes faster and so the system. error is now permanently gone (i hope) "Rick Rogers" wrote: Hi, Try selectively disabling applications in the Windows Sidebar to see if the error ceases.
