Help I get the message:

"An active directory domain controller for the tomain foo.com could not be
contacted"

Ensure that the domain name is typed correctly"

TRy disabling the firewall. The Windows firewall blocks just about
everything by default rendering your machine to an island unto itself. Once
autheticated, then you can add allow all rules for your LAN and re-enable
the firewall. There are no released GPOs for Vista that you can import into
a Windows 2003 DC and configure via group policy. If there are, that would
be the way to go long term, or use a third party firewall.

Hey WebGuy,

Try joining it with the NetBIOS name instead of the FQDN... that usually
solves that issue.
