Unable to connect to wireless network
I just upgraded to Vist RC1. I can not connect to my wireless network. I
can see the network but cant connect. I could connect to it when I had XP and I can connect to my neighbors network. I think that I have checked all the normal settings? Any suggestions? |

Did you try disabling current network connection and letting the Vista network wizard discover and install network connections? |

Unable to connect to wireless network
Per chance are you running in WPA mode on your router?
I found that Vista saw my Linksys WRT54G router set up with WPA-Personal TKIP as a WEP network, It would not connect until I reconfigured the router to WEP. Are any others experiencing this issue? -- Sam "Josh" wrote: I just upgraded to Vist RC1. I can not connect to my wireless network. I can see the network but cant connect. Unable to connect to wireless network
Yes, I've seen more or less the same issue with mij SMC router. Without any
security I can perfectly connect to my wireless network. When I'm using WPA TKIP settings I get the message that windows cannot connect due to a time out. That seems to be a bug. I got the same problem.
Regardless which authentification I use. "Josh" wrote: I just upgraded to Vist RC1. I can not connect to my wireless network. I can see the network but cant connect. Unable to connect to wireless network
I have same problem with my WPA-Enterprise configuration using Windows
2003/PKI/RADIUS/Active Directory infrastructure. I am using the Linksys WAP, which appears to by common amongst all the people having problems (WAP and Router from Linksys have same wireless functionality). My tcpdump logs show successful acceptance of authetication via udp port 1812 communications between the WAP and the Windows 2003 RADIUS server, but the Windows box continues to loop in a "attempting to autheticate" mode. Many successful "Access Accepted" entries are found in the event log of the Windows 2003 RADIUS server. It would appear that the WPA encryption schemes in the Linksys and Vista are incompatible. -- Edward Ray CCIE Security, CISSP, GCIA Gold, GCIH Gold, MCSE+Security, PE "Einar" wrote in message ...
