Default ftp and Windows Media Player

i am trying to figure out why windows media player will not stream music from
my ftp server i have done everything from shutting off the firewall to
adjusting the setting in the network part of it but it simply refuses to play
the music off my server, it gives me the following message "Windows Media
Player cannot find the file, if you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item
that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been movied,
renamed, or deleted" none of the above applies, i can go into windows xp
using the WMP11 and it works just fine so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Aran Miller
