Default Vista Ultimate x64 MUI english language pack horrible Error Code 2

Hi,

I'm running Vista Ultimate x64 with default Polish languange. I wanted to
check the new addition "Dreamscene" that showed up in my "updates" section
but it doesn't work - it downloaded ok, it installed fine (and says that it's
installed) but it doesn't work! In order to get it working I need to install
the English MUI language pack. I checked it in the "Updates" section,
downloaded it but can't install. No matter what I do it always stops during
install displaying ERROR CODE 2. Nothing helps. I read that you need to
install "KB942903" ti fix this, and so I did. It didn't change anything.
Still the same error and I'm unable to install english mui.

Please be so kind and help me solve this problem with this nerve-wracking
system.

Ready to try some diagnosis?

Here's what the code may mean:

cmd_output OS="XPsp2"
F:\net helpmsg 2

The system cannot find the file specified.
/cmd_output

So which file can't it find?

Tip: If there are no readily apparent messages in the logs that the update
changed (including the Event log) I would try using ProcMon (or FileMon)
to supplement this error code.

BTW I don't have your OS so I'm cross-posting this to a Vista-specific NG.

Good luck

Robert Aldwinckle
