Default Connect to a network PC with both Guest and "Bob" accounts, how do

Connect to a network PC with both Guest and "Bob" accounts, how do I force my
pc to log on with "Bob" and it's password instead of using the default
guest...

Vista does not ask for my account and password since it is using the guest
and just spits out an "Access denied" error.

The problem is that i can navigate to the folder with guest but i can't look
inside since normal guest is not allowed to...

Hi Arch,

You will need to create a user account on the other computer you are
trying to log into on the network with the same "Bob" username and
password that you are using. After that, you must be granted permission
to access the share folder.

Take a look at this to help.

Yes. But the PC i'm connecting to is in another building... and I can't
exactly create a User myself since it's not my PC... and I can't tell the
other person My "EXACT" user and password since i don't want the knowing
that...

I got my friend to create me a user and a password .... now how do i do this?!

Ok Arch,

The owner of the computer will need to grant your user account on his
computer "Share" permission to the folder or file that you would like to
share by using Step Three he

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/12...ng-enable.html

When this has been done, you can logon to the computer using the
username and password that your friend has created on that computer for
you using Step Three he

Hope this helps,

I've already tried that.... this does not fix the problem...

The bottom line is... HOW do i log on under a specific user name on a
network computer share? Because it logs on under the default lesser username
and i can't switch to the user WITH better rights...

Arch,

If this is a domain network. You will need to see the domain
administrator to change your logon to the other computer.

Sorry,
Shawn
