Connect to a network PC with both Guest and "Bob" accounts, how do I force my
pc to log on with "Bob" and it's password instead of using the default guest... Vista does not ask for my account and password since it is using the guest and just spits out an "Access denied" error. The problem is that i can navigate to the folder with guest but i can't look inside since normal guest is not allowed to... |

Hi Arch, You will need to create a user account on the other computer you are trying to log into on the network with the same "Bob" username and password that you are using. After that, you must be granted permission to access the share folder. Yes. But the PC i'm connecting to is in another building... and I can't
exactly create a User myself since it's not my PC... and I can't tell the other person My "EXACT" user and password since i don't want the knowing that... I got my friend to create me a user and a password .... now how do i do this?! I've already tried that.... this does not fix the problem...
The bottom line is... HOW do i log on under a specific user name on a network computer share? Because it logs on under the default lesser username and i can't switch to the user WITH better rights... |

Arch, If this is a domain network. You will need to see the domain administrator to change your logon to the other computer.
