Default Wireless light turns off automatically after about 5 minutes

Hi
I have just recently purchased an Vaio Laptop (VGN-CR13G) and have been
experiencing trouble the last month with connecting to wireless networks.
When i turn on my laptop the wireless signal light turns on and stays on for
about 5 minutes i can locate the wireless network and then once the light
turns off automatically i lose the signal.

About a month or so ago i installed Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security
PRO 2008 on my laptop as the 90 day free trial of Norton that came with my
computer finished. Would this be the cause of it? Should i re install the
internet security or is it a setting on my computer

I hope that you uninstalled Norton, after the free trial finished!
It is still runing in the background, if you didn't!

I'm having the same problem. In my case, the time is loger, about
30minutes or 1 hour after I start my laptop (TP T61). I'm not using
Norton.

Hi
Check the Power Saving configuration of the Wireless Card.
Choose advance in Power Option and look for the Wireless/Network Card.
