hi there!
ping works, sharing works, local connections work, but no internet. the router is set to static DHCP (gives IP by MAC address); everything seems OK, router passes the right IP, the righy DNS, gateway (checked with IPCONFIG). but browsing simply won't work, even with the site's IP. if i bypass the router and plug the net cable directly to the vista PC, everything works just fine. THIS IS NOT the old SPI firewall issue, SPI IS DISABLED and still doesn't work. also, the router is certainly configured correctly (it works with any non-vista OS). can anyone help? thanks! |

Crazy Hunch: try disabling (un-checking) IPv6 in the local area network
properties sheet and see if it works. -- Dave "Hiwired" wrote in message ... I have the same router and am experiencing the same exact problems.
