Also posted at OneCare forum: After installing 2 different Vista builds
(clean install) on my computer I had limited internet and email access. No links in any program or Vista itself would open IE 7.0 sites and in Outlook 2003 and 2007 I could only send email and not recieve. I could open the browser and type in the URL and it would load okay. After installing Trend's free (for awhile) Internet Security program all connection problems were immediately fixed with doing nothing else. After removing Trend and installing OneCare 1.5 I have the same problem as before installing Trend. I have tried opening up every port that OneCare lists but still limited access. Use OneCare on 2 other computers (with XP) with no problems and would like to use it on this one. There is probably some simple port or adjustment I need to add or tweak but I am a bit of a rookie and have had to uninstall OneCare from this computer and reinstalled Trend just to do this communicating. Any help with a few suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |
