Have clean installed 2 different builds of Vista-currently RC1. Links within
programs or from Vista itself won't open internet pages. Outlook 2003 or 2007
would only send mail and not receive. Web pages could be opened by typing the
URL directly only. Corrected the problem by installing Trend Micro's free for
awhile program with no adjustments. Looking for help.

Don,
I am having the problem also. The caveat is that when I connect with my
wireless It works great. After comparing the two the only thing that stands
out is the conection to the DNS server. On the wireless when you press
diagnose it comes back no problems. When connected to the LAN where I am
having problems, I press diagnose and I get an error "cannot communicate
with DNS Server". It gives an IP adress and everything else that requires
the use of the internet works fine. Does anyone know of a fix? This
problem did not start till I upgraded to Vista RC1 Outlook 2003 worked fine
in Vista Beta 2
