Default WPA-PSK and Vista on Dell Inspiron 1720

If my experience can help, read the following

On february 12 2008, I received my new laptop Dell Inspiron 1720 with Vista
Home Premium english version.
No way to have Wireless with WPA-PSK/TKIP working.
Wep and no protection were working perfectly but I want WPA-PSK/TKIP.

After researchs on the Dell site, I found a newer driver thant the one
pre-installed by Dell.

Version pre-installed by Dell :
Intel Pro Wirelless 3945-ABG version 11.1.1.22 dated August 8 2007

Downloaded version : 11.5.0.32 dated September 26 2007.
After updating the drivers to the latest version, everything is fine.

But I do not understant why Dell pre-install outdated drivers.
