I cannot get my computer to connect to the Internet in Vista x64 RC1. Under
Network Connections, it shows my Local Area Connection 5 as being enabled, firewalled, and connected, but when I double click on it, I am told that it is not connected. I called my ISP and tech support tried to give me XP commands to reset some things. He told me my IP address wasn't being pulled by Vista, or something like that, and that I needed to reset some things. The commands we used from a command prompt: netsh winsock reset catalog netsh int ip reset temp.txt - after restart, Vista still will not let me connect to Internet. I am using a cable modem and Ethernet, and I have the drivers installed for the Mobo. Please help! |
