I just installed Vista Home Premium (32bit) and somehow got two network
connections listed. I have one LAN but now every time I bring up the computer
I hae to disable the odd network connection and enable the one I really have.
How do I delete the one I don't want?

Use the "Manage Wireless Networks" command on the left side of the Network
and Sharing Center. When you click it, you will see all pre-configured
wireless network connections you have previously set up. Select a network,
then Right Click and choose "Properties" to determine which connection you
want to delete. Or, delete them both, then reconfigure a fresh connection
from the Network and Sharing Center's left side (Set up a connection or
network). You would choose "Manually connect to a wireless network," but you
must know your Security and Encryption types to do this. There you'll also
have the option to "Start this connection automatically," plus another option
this is best not discussed. Make sure you run this as an Administrator, as
you may get the User Account Control (UAC) "Continue/Cancel" pop-up.

The Network and Sharing Center is one of the wonderful things about Vista.
Once you get Vista relatively stable (: everything is graphic, unlike the
cryptic cyphers of OS's past. You can always "Cancel" before making any
changes, and there's no harm done. Don't underestimate it's importance in
helping one to understand, enjoy, and modify your networking experience, IMO.

I don't have any wireless connections on this computer (LAN) but used the
manage connections deal but the dud connection does not show up. I suspect
this is one I started but never connected to anything. Once I diable it, its
gone and I have to reboot to see it again.
I guess I will try connecting it to something to see if it shows up so I can
delete it. Unless somebody has another idea.
