Vista pre-RC1, I was joined to a domain with the domain controller running on
a 2003 server. On running the RC1 update (build 5600) on my desktop, the LAN went dead. I left the domain for the default WORKGROUP and my LAN returned. However, on attempting to re-join the domain I get the message: An attempt to resolve the DNS name of a DC in the domain being joined has failed. Please verify this client is configured to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS names in the target domain. I've disabled IPv6 (atleast I think I have!) and that didn't resolve the issue. Any ideas? - sounds identical to: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com...b6d&sloc=en-us |
