Hi All, I have a problem joining an nt4 domain with a vista rc1 pc.
Originally i joined without much problem (i think i had to use the wizard - wouldnt work by just adding the domain) and all was woring fine till i started to get locked out everytime i tried to log on. I decided to take the machine off the domain and re-join it. Now however I just get the error message: "The Specified Domain Either Does Not Exist or Could Not Be Contacted". All passwords are correct and not locked out, I have tried using the wizard and just trying to directly join the domain. I have ensured the firewall is off, I have also tried changing the value of secpol.msc's "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level" from "NTVLM2 responses only" to "LM and NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated" as suggested in another post. Any help appreciated! Cheers |

Actually it does work, but you have to use the wizard (System Properties |
Computer Name | Network ID...). "nefch" wrote: I have the same problem with Vista RTM. Christof |
