I am running RC1 and having the same problems alot of people are running
into. I am on the internet for about 15 minutes, then poof, the network is gone. it looks like Vista is causing the router to do something, but not quite sure. i use a Belkin wireless G F5D7000 version 6. i am connecting to a Linksys wireless router. the WRT54GS. i updated the firmware to the most current. still nothing. if i let the router sit with Vista off, the router will work again. does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance. |

I have the same problem with RC2. Doing the following worked for me. Right click on Wireless Network Connection, and then click “Configure”. If asked for permission to open Network Connections, click on Allow. Highlight the following items and press the “Uninstall” button: Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder and Uncheck “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” Uncheck "QoS Packet Scheduler" All the above is probably not necessary but seems to solve the router lockup problems. Good Luck! |
