Hello Everyone,
For the past few days I've been getting two error messages whenever I try to connect to wireless internet. The first says "Hot Topic for Windows has stopped working." My internet connection goes, and when I go to the netowrk manager it says that there are no wireless connections available. I usually diagnose the problem and the system says that it's repaired, but after that I get an error that says "Ready boost is not working," which also knocks me off of the internet. I usually go through this process twice before the network connection is stable. About my system: -windows home vista basic, 32bit -all windows updates current -current drivers for wireless card -wireless router is updated -every diagnostic that I ran said "working properly" - Antivirus programs have clean reports Any help would be appreciated. I can't even figure out what Hot Topic for Windows or Readyboost actually are. Thanks |

Sounds like hardware incompatible issue. You should have an error in the
event ID. check that and post back with any errors. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "Ladien" wrote in message ...
